What are the requirements on the Deployment Solution side to perform the upgrade. My concern is more with Windows 7 since my version of DS does not support Windows 7 and I would have to upgrade to 6.9 SP3.

HIIS still works on older versions of DS just fine. I can't say how well DS will work with Windows 7 on older versions however.
